UFOREA 2025 IS A PROUD PARTNER OF

What is Uforea?

"Uforea", a play on "Uwharrie Forest" and "euphoria" (runner's high); is a new type of trail challenge. This event is proudly brought to you by the UwharrieUltras team (the same folks who direct Uwharrie 100 Mile Run, Uwharrie 100K and the Gold Rush 50K). We believe this is a truly unique type of challenge.

The UFOREA DAYTIME 50K, will consist of a daytime, "clockwise" tour of the Uwharrie and Dutchman's Creek Trail systems. Each runner will complete a massive 20.5 mile loop, followed by a "lower" 11.4 mile loop, to finish the 32-ish mile course. The race will start at 8am, Saturday, April 19, 2025 and will have an 11 HOUR cutoff. Finishing at 7pm Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The race will then "reset" in anticipation of the UFOREA NIGHTTIME 50K...in the opposite direction.

The UFOREA NIGHTTIME 50K, will consist of a nighttime "counter-clockwise" tour of the Uwharrie and Dutchman's Creek Trail systems. Each runner will complete a massive 20.5 mile loop, followed by a "lower" 11.4 mile loop, to finish the 32-ish mile course. The race will start at 8pm, Saturday April, 19 2025 and will have an 12 HOUR cutoff. Finishing at 8am Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Think you can tackle BOTH races for the ultimate runner's high? Sign up for the ULTIMATE UFOREA 100K to complete "100K in a Day".

***Keep in mind friends, the races START at 8 AM and 8 PM respectively, so a quick finish on the daytime 50K means HOURS waiting for the nighttime event to start.

We have faith in you...
